SMPS/LA, a prominent professional society for marketing and business development professionals in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry, has announced that Kurt S. Yoshii, FSMPS, CPSM, PE, GE, ENV SP has been named the 2023 Leonardo Award Honoree. This prestigious award is given annually to individuals who exemplify the character and spirit of the legendary Renaissance figure, Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo Award recipients are considered visionaries among their peers, and Kurt is certainly no exception, much like Leonardo da Vinci was considered a visionary in his time.  As an accomplished engineer and Principal Geotechnical Engineer of Ninyo & Moore, Kurt embodies the core values of SMPS and has been an educator, advocate, mentor, and connector within the A/E/C community for many years. In addition to his engineering background, Kurt has taken a keen interest in marketing and business development, fueling sustainable growth for his firm and becoming a leader and mentor for others in the field through national, regional, and local organizations. He has been an active member of SMPS since 2005, serving as a bridge between the LA and OC chapters and volunteering his time and expertise to benefit the organization and its members. Kurt's professionalism, dedication to SMPS, and advocacy for his fellow marketers make him a deserving recipient of the Leonardo Award, and SMPS/LA is proud to congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.
