Hunter Solar
The project entailed development of an approximately 1,150-acre site with arrays of photovoltaic panels supported by single-axis tracking systems founded on driven pile foundations.
Project Highlights:
- Geotechnical Evaluation
- Pile Load Testing
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- NEPA/CEQA Screening Surveys
Ninyo & Moore provided environmental, geotechnical, and pile load testing services for the Hunter Solar project in Emery County, Utah. In addition to the photovoltaic array panels, construction also included access roads, fencing, an operations facility, inverter pads, a substation, and power transmission lines. Services included performance of subsurface explorations, preliminary and final geotechnical design evaluations, axial and lateral pile load testing, pile capacity recommendations based on the load test results, Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), and NEPA/CEQA screening.
