San Diego Unified School District Civita Elementary School
Civita Elementary School will be the first public elementary school to be constructed in the Mission Valley area of San Diego County, California.

Ninyo & Moore is providing geotechnical, special inspection and materials testing services during construction of the Civita Elementary School project, which includes two 2-story steel framed structures with veneer, stucco and metal panel exteriors, and two single-story masonry structures founded on shallow foundations. The new campus will feature classrooms with roll-up doors that allow for indoor and outdoor learning areas, and will offer students an academic focus on environmental science supported by sustainable design. Additional improvements include permanent soldier beam and lagging retaining walls, new parking and pedestrian site improvements, play areas, hardscaping and landscaping improvements, along with associated underground site utilities.
