Tomball Tollway
Ninyo & Moore provided Construction Materials Testing Services on the Tomball Tollway Project for the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA). This major infrastructure project has an estmated total cost of $130 million dollars.
Project Highlights:
- Materials Testing
- 3.2 Miles Long
- 5 New Bridges
- Storm Water Detention
- Total Cost of $130M
Ninyo & Moore provided construction materials testing services on Phase II of the Tomball Tollway, which extends Phase 1 approximately 3 miles north to the Montgomery County line, and continues the 4-lane tollway in each direction, adding new 3-lane frontage roads, both north and southbound, 5 major bridges and flood-mitigating storm water detention. With the popularity of Houston’s northwest suburbs attracting families looking for planned residential communities, good school districts and one of the nation’s top Community College systems, mobility out to Tomball and Montgomery via the State Highway 249 corridor in northwest Harris County has been challenging for many years as the area’s population explodes. Toll roads are a new reality for residents of northwest Harris County as a desirable quality of life now often requires an undesirable commute through Houston’s legendary traffic to almost anywhere in the 7-county region.
