Ninyo & Moore provided geotechnical observation and testing services for Theatre District Living and Learning Neighborhood (Project #5254) project at the University of California San Diego Campus. The Theatre District Living and Learning project is a new mixed-use project in the Revelle and Theatre District areas that will be home for a new college on the UC San Diego campus. The 11.8-acre site is located at the southwestern edge of the La Jolla campus and includes 5.5 buildable acres. The remaining 6.3 acres of public realm include an updated campus entry at the Revelle College Drive intersection; partial realignment of Scholars Drive South; a valet drop-off zone for the adjacent Theatre District; a transit hub for campus shuttles and metro buses; an extension of Ridge Walk to the southern campus boundary; and recreation/outdoor wellness spaces located strategically throughout the site. The project includes 4 levels of below-grade parking beneath three of the new buildings to provide parking for approximately 1,200 cars.
